Top Benefits of Eyelash Extensions

Put Together

One of the most significant benefits of this is the ability to look put together any time of day because they give the appearance that the wearer already has mascara on. Some people even prefer eyelash extensions as their only form of cosmetic application.

Save Time

Not only will eyelash extensions help you look much more put together when you roll out of bed, but they can also save you lots of time. If you wear mascara and eyeliner almost every day, eyelash extensions will save you tons of time spent in front of a mirror.

Eyelash extensions add volume to the natural lash line and can lift the face and make people appear more youthful. It’s no secret societal beauty standards applaud long, thick eyelashes, and with extensions, you can enhance your natural beauty without the use of makeup or other beauty products.

No Damage

Unlike many beauty procedures, putting extensions on your eyelashes is not an invasive process, and wearing them doesn’t damage your natural lashes at all.

Many people struggle to get their eyelashes to remain curled throughout the day. When your eyelashes are curled up and away from the eye, it gives you more of an awake and youthful appearance. Eyelash extensions help to provide you with that lifted and natural appearance.

More About Lash Extensions

Classic individual eyelash extensions

The most popular type of lash extension has got to be classic individual eyelash extensions, which are also the most natural type. With these extensions, individual lashes are applied to your own natural eyelashes. For each natural eyelash you have, a synthetic lash is applied.  Classic individual eyelash extensions, like all of the different types of lash extensions, can be customised based on the curl, thickness, and length of the lashes.

Russian Volume eyelash extensions

Russian Volume lashes bring the intensity, with a striking look to enhance the eyes. Volume lashes create a darker lash line which gives the effect of eyeliner, without the effort! Rather than applying one synthetic lash for every natural lash, multiple individual lashes are used. A fan pattern is applied, using really superlight and superfine lashes, to give a gorgeously thick and plush set of lashes.  With Russian Volume lashes you can expect a feathery look that makes your eyes stand out. Russian Volume is particularly ideal if you don’t have consistent and evenly shaped natural lashes. However, if you’re after a more natural look then classic eyelash extensions would be more suitable.

Mega volume

Mega volume enables us to give our clients the thickest/fullest lashes! They are way more dramatic than Russian volume. They are incredibly dark and dense and are the most dramatic of our lash extensions  Usually you would expect 10 extensions per fan    Clients with strong and healthy natural lashes are suited to our Mega Volume eyelash extensions, these are not suitable if you have fine or damaged natural lashes.

Infill lash extensions

Infill lash extensions are individual lashes or fans that fill the gaps in your lash extensions – whether that be classic, hybrid, or volume lashes. Most people top up their lashes with an infill around two to three weeks after getting their extensions. How fast the growth of your natural lashes are will determine how fast your natural eyelashes shed. Everyone’s eyelash cycle is different, so some people will find they will need an infill at 2 weeks and some at 3 or 4 weeks. The result of this shedding can be patchy and uneven eyelashes. With infill lash extensions, new individual lashes are applied to the new eyelashes which have grown since, bringing uniformity and luscious depth back to your look.

How to look after lash extensions

You should avoid rubbing or touching your eyes with lash extensions and keep them clean with an eyelash form cleanser every 3 days. But, be sure to keep them dry for up to 48 hours after application. Sleeping on your face is also discouraged, but we go into more detail on how to sleep with lash extensions below. You should also avoid using oil based products around or on the eyes. Every morning, try to remember to brush through your eyelash tips with a lash brush.

How to Sleep with Lash Extensions

If you’re worried about how you’re going to sleep with lash extensions, here are some great tips to ensure your lashes stay in top shape when sleeping. You should try to sleep on your back, ensuring that each lash stays in place and doesn’t get ruined – but we know this isn’t an option for everyone.

How You Shouldn’t Sleep

If you like to sleep on your stomach, you may run into issues keeping your lash extensions in-tact. There are however, some ways to try and slow the shedding process even if you are a stomach sleeper.

Silk Pillow Cases

Silk pillow cases will prevent lashes being pulled when sleeping, the soft exterior of the silk pillow case can seriously slow down the shedding process of your lash extensions and is worth the investment if you are looking into prolonging the life of your lash extensions while sleeping.

Eye Masks

Some eye masks are not ideal, if it’s too tight then it will do far more harm than good! However, you can get eye masks that have a bevelled socket area leaving no direct contact with the mask and your lash extensions – this is the type you want!
