Diploma in Make-up Artistry (Level 3)

Commitment: 4 hours per week at our training salon and 8-12 hours per week self study for 18 weeks.
The Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry (RQF) is aimed at those learners looking to progress into a career as a professional make-up artist. This qualification includes applying small, ready-made prosthetic pieces, camouflage make-up, airbrush make-up, and the design and application of festival make-up.
In order to achieve this Diploma, learners must complete mandatory units and an additional unit from a range of options.
As well as learning about health and safety practices in the salon, learners will also develop an understanding of the importance of client care, communication and how to promote products and services.
The 6 remaining mandatory units include:
- Design and apply face and body art
- Instruction on make-up application
- Apply make-up
- Media make-up
- Fashion and photographic make-up
- Camouflage make-up
Diploma in Nail Technology (Level 3)

The Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology (RQF) is aimed at those learners wishing to develop their knowledge, understanding and practical skills in providing manicure and pedicure treatments and applying and maintaining nail enhancements.
In order to achieve this Diploma, learners must complete all units.

Commitment: One day a week in house training with guided home learning for 6 months
The Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma in Combined Beauty Therapy Skills (RQF) is a combination of both level 2 and level 3 qualifications in the beauty therapy industry, the qualification is aimed at those learners who wish to gain knowledge and skills relating to beauty therapy allowing them to complete the qualification without required prior knowledge.
The qualification allows learners to gain the level 3 with our existing knowledge in the beauty therapy industry. The level 3 Diploma in Combined Beauty Therapy skills’ objective is to develop learners’ knowledge and skills and confirm their competence as beauty therapists and will enable learners to expand their scope of technical skills for employment as a beauty therapist. Learners will learn how to plan prepare and deliver level 3 beauty treatments safely and correctly in accordance with health and safety regulations and legislation.
